You will need to book this for all treatment areas prior to any course of laser sessions with us. This is legally required by our insurance. You MUST send us a photo of the treatment area 24hrs and 48hrs following your patch test to ensure there are no adverse reactions.
Come to your treatment calm, cool and relaxed. Your body needs to be cool prior to being exposed to the heat from the laser treatments.
No UV beds, sunlight and tanning for 4 weeks before and after your treatments as this can interfere with results and risk burning.
Avoid steam rooms, sauna rooms, boiling hot showers and baths for 24 hours before and after your treatment.
24 hours pre and post treatment you will need to avoid the gym and/or any vigorous exercise. Your body needs to be calm, cool and relaxed to avoid any risk of burns.
Avoid applying any creams, numbing creams, deodorant, oils, etc on treatment areas on the day of your treatment. You will need to wait 2 weeks after applying any fake tans.
Shave a day or two in the treatment areas prior to your hair removal treatment. For hair removal, you will need to avoid any hair removal methods below the surface skin such as waxing and creams. Please wait 10 days before shaving or dermaplaning after your treatments.
You will need to wait 2 weeks prior to any botox injections and 4 weeks post any fillers before you book a patch test or session.
Please let us know if you are currently taking any anti-coagulant medication such as warfarin or blood thinners. Please let us know if you are taking any photo-sensitive medication such as the Pill, or St John's Wort. You will have to wait 8 weeks post taking any such medication as this will interfere with the laser treatments.
Please wait 3 months post pregnancy and breastfeeding. Periods, polycystic ovaries, menopause, and a hysterectomy, any hormonal changes can interfere with your treatments. Please get in touch.
Please contact us prior to booking a patch test if you have any medical conditions or hormonal changes that may interfere with laser treatments. We apologise if we refuse your treatments but your safety and wellness is our top priority.
Laser treatments are not completely pain-free. Your therapist will discuss your tolerance level and you should feel a sensation of warmth of around 4 out of 10 for an effective treatment. You may also feel a sensation of an elastic band pinging against your skin.

Please come to your treatments wearing loose fitting clothes that allow your skin to breathe easily after treatment.
Photos will be taken prior and post treatment and only shared with you. We will not post them on social media without your permission.
Avoid vigorous exercise and gyms for 24 hours after your treatment. Keep your skin calm, cool and relaxed.
Allow your skin to cool by applying aloe vera gel on the treatment area twice daily.
Apply SPF30+ twice daily on treatment area regardless of whether your are in sunlight or not. If you cannot avoid direct sunlight, please apply SPF30+ hourly.
No direct sunlight for 4 weeks post treatment to avoid burns and pigmentation changes. if this is unavoidable you will need to apply SPF30+ every hour.
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, boiling hot showers and baths for 24-48hrs. Avoid steam from the oven and bbqs. Keep your skin calm, cool and relaxed.
You may experience temporary side effects such as redness, pinprick bleeding and swelling to the area from several hours up to 72 hours. Continue applying aloe vera gel and SPF30+ daily. If this continues or is excessive please contact us and your GP.
Areas of darker patches of skin may get darker for up to 7-10 days (Hyper-pigmentation) or lighter patches (hypo-pigmentation). Please get in touch with us if this continues past 72hrs and continue applying aloe vera gel and SPF30+ daily.
You may experience an anti-histamine reaction for 24hrs-72hrs following your laser hair removal. This is very common and will look like raised bumps called hives/urticaria. This usually settles down quickly, speak to your pharmacist and they may recommend applying a small amount of acriflex 0.25% cream to the affected area.
Areas of your skin with thread veins or cherry dots may crust over and shed over 7-10 days. Please avoid picking the area, continue applying aloe vera gel and SPF30+ daily.
Avoid applying any creams, oils, deodorants for 24 hours in the treatment areas. Avoid exfoliation methods until the area is fully calm and healed.
Please contact us, your GP and your dermatologist in the event that you suffer with any extreme redness, swelling or pigmentation changes. You may have some underlying medical condition that may prevent you from receiving any further laser treatments.
