Cryotherapy for skin tag removal.
Cryotherapy is a fast, effective and fairly safe solution to those minor skin imperfections. It is the application of freezing cold air to the treatment site and does not damage the surrounding skin.
Cryotherapy can effectively remove skin tags, warts, verrucas, milia (milk spots), cherry dots with no damage to the surrounding skin.
Most clients describe the cold sensation as a stinging and an occasional elastic band flick. Treatments are very quick and usually over within 5-30 seconds.
Results are effective and usually only 1-2 treatments are needed depending on your skin type. The treatment is highly dependant on your good health, please drink lots of water after your session.
Usually smaller skin lesions fall out 1-6 weeks after your treatment. If it still persists after 4 weeks you may need another session.
We are not dermatologists and we are unable to diagnose your condition. If you are unsure what skin lesions you have please check with your GP or Dermatologist prior to booking an appointment.
Yes. Darker skin types 4-6 are treated with more caution. Therefore your treatment times are split in half and spread across a 2 week period.
48hrs prior and post session it is advised to stay away from boiling hot showers, steam/sauna rooms and avoid exercising as it may interfere with results. Avoid direct sunlight, sunbathing and UV sunbeds for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Avoid scratching and picking the area after treatment. Apply SPF50
Healing takes place over 4 weeks and can result in blistering, crusting and weeping. Do not pick the blister, but if it should pop and weep on its own please gently cleanse, pat dry, apply an antiseptic cream and cover with a sterile dressing. If it continues after 4 weeks please contact us and seek medical advice.
No. Minimal side effects such as erythema (redness), lightening or darkening of the skin (hyper or hypo-pigmentation), or headaches can occur and in very rare circumstances nerve damage. You should be left with no scarring or permanent changes to the surrounding skin. The area may form a blister, can burst, scab over and the skin lesion will be pushed out of the skin, healing within 4 weeks. Please allow it to breathe and heal naturally but you can cleanse with an alcohol wipe and apply an antiseptic cream if necessary.
No we do not treat moles. You will need to see your GP/Dermatologist for mole removal. Mole removal can involve incisions and may cause risks of bleeding, infection and can cause permanent scarring, tissue changes and nerve damage.
You can book your appointment straight away through our online booking system. You will be sent an email with a thorough consultation form with full advice to follow before your appointment. We look forward to seeing you.
